Sedgwick, a leading insurance brokerage based in Donegal Town, invites applications for a Personal Lines Handler. The role focuses on servicing individual clients and delivering tailored insurance solutions in a supportive, customer-centered environment.

This is a hybrid role with two days on-site weekly; part-time applicants will be considered. You will work with Home, Motor and Travel products, use insurance software, and collaborate with underwriters to provide excellent service.

Qualifications

• Experience in personal lines insurance handling, preferably motor.
• APA/CIP or working towards certification.
• Strong knowledge of Home, Motor and Travel insurance products.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Familiarity with Irish regulatory requirements for personal insurance.
• Proficient IT skills and experience with insurance software.
• Strong communication and customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of personal lines clients focusing on retention and satisfaction.
• Process policy renewals, compare quotes, issue policy documents.
• Assist clients with inquiries, mid-term adjustments and claims guidance.
• Gather information for underwriters to place risks.
• Maintain accurate regulatory-compliant records.

Personal Lines Handler

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer service in the insurance sector? We are currently seeking a motivated personal lines handler to join our team at a leading insurance brokerage based in Donegal Town. This is an exciting opportunity to work with individual clients and provide tailored insurance solutions.

This is a hybrid role, two days a week onsite. Candidates seeking part time will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Client Portfolio Management: Manage a portfolio of personal lines clients, focusing on retention and satisfaction.
• Insurance Administration: Handle policy renewals, quote comparisons, and ensure timely issuance of policy documents.
• Customer Support: Address client inquiries, assist with mid-term adjustments, and provide guidance on claims processes.
• Underwriter Engagement: Gather necessary information for underwriters to facilitate the placement of risks.
• File Management: Maintain accurate records and documentation to comply with regulatory standards and company procedures.
• Market Awareness: Stay informed about changes in personal insurance products and market trends that may affect clients.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to provide seamless service and support when needed.

Experience / Skills Required

• Insurance Experience: Previous experience in personal lines insurance handling, ideally in motor
• Qualification: APA/CIP or working towards this
• Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of personal lines products, including Home, Motor, and Travel Insurance.
• Organizational Skills: Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with the regulatory environment governing personal insurance in Ireland.
• IT Skills: Proficiency in insurance-related software; previous experience with relevant systems is a plus.
• Customer Focus: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to providing outstanding service.
