Job summary

TerraGlen Residential Care Services invites a dedicated professional to join as Person in Charge, leading daily operations and upholding standards of care. You will guide a team to ensure dignity, independence, and person-centered supports for service users.

The role requires expertise in HIQA regulation and health and social care legislation, with focus on safeguarding, staff development, and collaborative engagement with families and professionals.

Qualifications

• Need for leadership and supervision experience in health or social care settings.
• Qualified to Level 8 or higher in relevant social care field; CORU recognition preferred.
• Management qualification or proven managerial experience required.
• Strong knowledge of HIQA, Children First Act 2015, Disability Act 2005, and GDPR.

• Ensure compliance with HIQA, Health Act 2007, and related legislation.
• Support and mentor your team through supervision, training, and reflection.

Your Role and Responsabilities

What You'll Need

• Level 8 qualification in Social Care, Applied Social Studies, Social Work, Psychology, or equivalent recognised by CORU,
• or Level 7 plus Management qualification (min. 30 ECTS, Level 6 or higher) in line with HIQA Regulation 14(7).
• Minimum 3 years' management or supervisory experience in a health or social care setting.
• Strong understanding of HIQA, Children First Act 2015, Disability Act 2005, and GDPR.

Vetting Requirement

• Successful candidates will be subject to Garda Vetting through the National Vetting Bureau
