Job summary

Cheeverstown is seeking a proactive Support Worker to assist two gentlemen living in Johnstown, Co. Kildare, to lead active, meaningful lives within their local community.

You will provide person-centred supports, encourage independence, and participate in social activities, including sports and clubs. A full, clean driving license and flexibility for occasional evenings are essential.

Qualifications

• FETAC/QQI Level 5 Major Award in Social Care/Healthcare (all modules completed).
• Full, clean driver’s license and willingness to drive.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support two men in Johnstown, Co. Kildare to live active, meaningful lives in the community.
• Engage in social activities, attend events, and participate in local groups.
• Promote independence, motivation, and person-centred supports.
• Flexible to work occasionally during evenings for events and appointments.
• Maintain a welcoming, respectful home environment and communication with families.
