Job summary

A&L Goodbody's Pensions Group is seeking a Pensions Lawyer with 0–3 PQE. The group is a market leader providing expert advice to Irish and international clients on occupational pension schemes and related products.

The successful candidate will work on pension issues across mergers, restructuring, banking structures, data protection, and high court matters, collaborating with other firm groups and developing mentoring skills. Hybrid working and bonus opportunities are included.

Job description

A&L Goodbody's Pensions Group is seeking to hire a Pensions Lawyer and would welcome expressions of interest from Solicitors with 0 – 3 PQE.

Our Pensions Group in A&L Goodbody is a market leader and one of the largest Pensions practices in Ireland. We provide Irish and international, private and public sector clients with expert advice and experienced direction on every aspect of occupational pension schemes and pension products.

The Pensions Group’s diverse expertise facilitates fully integrated advice on all facets of pension issues. In addition to operational and best practice advisory work, the successful candidate would work closely with other legal areas within the Firm to advise on pension issues related to:

• Mergers and acquisitions
• Restructuring and insolvencies
• Banking structures
• Employment retirement policy and terminations
• Data protection
• Complaints to the Financial Services and Pensions Ombudsman
• High Court litigation and mediations

• 0 – 3 relevant PQE within a Large or Medium Corporate Law Firm in Ireland or the United Kingdom
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skill. Strong interpersonal and communications skills
• Strong team and collaborative skills
• Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
• A willingness to develop managerial and mentoring skills as the role progresses.
• Prior experience in advising on Pensions law is preferable but is not a pre-requisite.
