Job summary

The Panel in Dublin is seeking an experienced Payments Product Owner / Delivery Lead to drive end-to-end payments changes within its agile squads. This role blends deep payments expertise with confident delivery leadership across the full lifecycle, from backlog to go-live.

You will lead sprint planning for product ownership, shape the payments backlog with business stakeholders and manage risks, dependencies and priorities to ensure timely delivery in a scaled-agile environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years as a payments product owner, delivery lead or programme manager with real payments domain expertise.
• Strong grasp of modern payment systems, regulations & processing in banking/fintech.
• Proven delivery in Agile (Scrum or Kanban) and backlog ownership in squad/tribe models.
• Excellent stakeholder communication across technical and business audiences.

A leading financial services organisation is hiring an experienced Payments Product Owner/ Delivery Lead to drive delivery within its agile payments squads. This is a hands-on role for someone who blends genuine payments expertise with confident delivery leadership in a scaled-agile environment, working across the full lifecycle from backlog to go-live.

Responsibilities include

• Drive end-to-end delivery of payments change across agile squads, planning and sequencing work to hit milestones.
• Lead the product owner side of sprint planning, refinement and reviews, balancing value, risk and delivery timelines.
• Shape and prioritise the payments backlog with the business, translating goals into clear features and user stories.
• Own delivery dependencies, risks and blockers, and steer sprint planning, refinement and reviews.
• Partner with engineering, business stakeholders and external payment partners to move real-time and account-to-account capabilities forward.

Experience

• 7+ years as a payments product owner, delivery lead or programme manager, with real payments domain expertise (essential).
• A strong grasp of modern payment systems/platforms, regulations & processing, gained in a bank, processor or fintech.
• Proven delivery in Agile (Scrum or Kanban), comfortable owning both backlog and delivery in a squad or tribe model.
• Excellent stakeholder communication across technical and business audiences.
