Job summary

Harris Group in Ireland is seeking a Stock Controller/Procurement Specialist to translate sales and stock data into informed purchasing decisions. You will monitor stock health, manage supplier relationships, and coordinate with the Parts & Logistics Manager to optimise stock levels and minimise obsolescence.

The role requires at least 2 years in automotive parts or a similar environment, strong Excel skills, and a collaborative, customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in automotive parts supply or similar role.
• Experience in sourcing, quotes, and placing orders with suppliers.
• Proven ability to analyse stock movement and identify procurement gaps.
• Excellent communication, organisation and data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Source parts and place purchase orders with suppliers, evaluating price, lead time and quality.
• Monitor open purchase orders and align quantities with stock levels.
• Identify procurement gaps and stock-out risks ahead of time.
• Maintain stock records and reconcile deliveries with documentation.
• Analyse sales and stock data to identify trends and risks for the procurement plan.
• Prepare monthly reports for stock and procurement metrics.
• Communicate with customers and suppliers to resolve queries professionally.
• Support warehouse activities and general team assistance.
