Job summary

Avoca Dunboyne is seeking a catering assistant to join our team on a part-time basis (30-34 hours per week) with an immediate start. You will support senior chefs in managing kitchen operations and ensure friendly, professional service for all guests and business needs.

The role focuses on food preparation, kitchen setup and end-of-day duties, correct food storage with HACCP adherence, and presenting dishes to Avoca standards under guidance from the Head Chef.

Qualifications

• Experience in food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation - Daily and weekly prep to ensure high standards for the next day or week.
• Kitchen Setup/End of Day Duties - ensure counters, surfaces, storage shelves and fridges are clean.
• Food storage - store foods in clean, dry containers, label with production and use-by dates per HACCP.
• Food presentation - present dishes to Avoca standards as directed by the Head Chef.
