Job summary

Amwell is seeking a Behavioural Health Coach in Ireland to support a wide range of Mental Health and Wellbeing programmes. You’ll provide written reviews, motivate users, and help them engage with digital care tools.

This role is part-time (20 hours/week) and focuses on empathy, safety, and personalised goal-setting to improve user outcomes. You will work within a clinical team, escalating concerns when needed, and attend monthly supervision sessions to ensure high standards of care and program

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or completed a Master’s degree and/or Doctorate in Psychology or related field and be registered (or in the process) with an Irish professional body.
• Strong understanding of Online Mental Health Services.
• Experience working with Children & Young People is desirable.
• Excellent communication, writing and typing skills; clear personal written communication.
• Comfort using multiple technological tools and adapting to new tech quickly.
• Empathetic, observant and able to motivate users while maintaining boundaries.
• Ability to identify risk indicators and escalate to a supervisor; coaching, not therapy.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate excellence and innovation in digital behavioural health coaching.
• Review user engagement and motivate, support and manage health and wellbeing through online programmes.
• Provide weekly written reviews to support and guide users as they progress.
• Monitor content for potential concerns and escalate appropriately.
• Show supportive presence, empathy and personalize goal-setting with users.
• Encourage programme use to meet goals and deepen user engagement.
• Collaborate with the clinical supervisor team to ensure safety and appropriate treatment access.
• Attend monthly meetings with manager and supervisor; participate in group supervision.
