Kerry Parents and Friends Association is recruiting for a Cook at Tearmann Lodge, Rathmore. This part-time maternity leave cover role requires delivering nutritious, home-cooked meals to residents and managing kitchen operations within budget.

Flexibility in duties and roster is essential to meet residents' needs. The role includes menu planning, stock control, hygiene, health and safety compliance, and supervising staff as needed.

Qualifications

• HACCP certification and knowledge of health and safety standards.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and deliver high-quality service.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland with documentation during recruitment.
• Experience with special dietary needs and healthcare settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide good quality, home-cooked meals at all times.
• Prepare meals at the scheduled times and correct temperatures.
• Order ingredients cost-effectively and manage inventory.
• Store food properly and maintain kitchen hygiene.
• Keep kitchen, stores and dining area clean at all times.
• Develop seasonal menus with centre manager approval.
• Supervise kitchen staff and ensure safety procedures are followed.
