Job summary

Barden | B Corp in Wicklow is seeking a Finalist Part Qualified Accountant for a 6-month fixed-term role to strengthen financial reporting and decision-support capabilities. You will leverage Excel, Power BI and Agresso to deliver timely, accurate reports and insights.

You will work with finance and operations to drive improvements, support budgeting, and automate processes, ensuring deadlines are met and data quality is maintained.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a medium-to-large commercial environment with strong analytical abilities.
• Proficient in Excel, Power BI and Agresso (or similar accounting software).
• Experience in handling large datasets and delivering insights.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end activities including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Support budgeting and forecasting with analysis and commentary on variances.
• Prepare financial and operational reports to provide meaningful insights for decision-making.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand performance, resolve issues and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Contribute to process improvements, KPIs, controls, and audit support.

Barden are delighted to assist a successful Irish business based in Wicklow to help identify a Finalist Part Qualified Accountant to join the team on a 6-month FTC.

This person will be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting and insights to support decision-making, while leveraging systems and data tools to improve reporting efficiency, automate processes, and drive continuous improvement.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Manage month-end financial activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and management reporting, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process, providing clear analysis and commentary on financial performance and key variances.
• Prepare and deliver financial and operational reports that provide meaningful insights to support business decision-making.
• Partner with finance and operational stakeholders to understand performance, resolve issues, and identify opportunities for cost optimisation.
• Contribute to process improvement and transformation initiatives, developing relevant KPIs, strengthening controls, and supporting audit activities.

ABOUT THE PERSON

• 2+ years' experience in a medium-to-large commercial environment with strong analytical and financial systems expertise.
• Proficient in Excel, Power BI, Agresso (or similar accounting software), with experience managing and analysing large datasets.
• Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement, collaborate effectively across teams, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
