Job summary

Barden | B Corp is seeking a Part-Qualified Accountant to join their team on a 6–12 month contract. The role can be based from Kilkenny, Wicklow, Westmeath or Mayo, offering flexibility to work from any of the four locations.

The candidate will deliver accurate financial reporting, support budgeting and forecasting, and drive improvements through data tools and automation while partnering with stakeholders to optimise costs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in a medium-to-large commercial environment with strong analytical and financial systems expertise.
• Finalist Part-Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) required.
• Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end financial activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and management reporting.
• Support budgeting and forecasting with clear analysis and commentary on variances.
• Prepare and deliver financial and operational reports for business decision-making.
• Collaborate with finance and operational stakeholders to resolve issues and identify cost opportunities.
• Contribute to process improvements and develop relevant KPIs.

This person will be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting and insights to support decision-making, while leveraging systems and data tools to improve reporting efficiency, automate processes, and drive continuous improvement.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Manage month-end financial activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and management reporting, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process, providing clear analysis and commentary on financial performance and key variances.
• Prepare and deliver financial and operational reports that provide meaningful insights to support business decision-making.
• Partner with finance and operational stakeholders to understand performance, resolve issues, and identify opportunities for cost optimisation.
• Contribute to process improvement and transformation initiatives, developing relevant KPIs, strengthening controls, and supporting audit activities.

ABOUT THE PERSON

• Finalist Part-Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• 2+ years' experience in a medium-to-large commercial environment with strong analytical and financial systems expertise.
