Job summary

Amicus Search & Recruitment is seeking a Part-Qualified Accountant for a Chartered Accountancy Practice in County Dublin. The role suits candidates with 2+ years of practice experience and a passion for delivering quality financial services.

You will handle accounts preparation, reconciliations, journals, management accounts, statutory reporting, year-end close and tax returns, while liaising with clients. Proficiency in CCH Accounts Production, Surf, Xero, Sage Line 50 and Excel is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of general accounting practice experience.
• Results-oriented, organized, and capable of working on own initiative.
• Excellent written and spoken English with strong customer care skills.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Preparation: Prepare year-end non-audit company accounts and working papers to review stage.
• Reconciliations: Reconcile balance sheet items including VAT, payroll, leases, hire purchases, and fixed assets.
• Journal Entries: Post journals onto accounting software with a solid understanding of core accounting principles.
• Management Accounts: Assist with the preparation of periodic management accounts.
• Statutory Reporting: Prepare statutory financial statements in line with deadlines and procedures.
• Year-End Close: Assist with year-end close-out procedures and year-end journals.
• Taxation: Assist with the preparation of Corporation Tax Returns.
• Client Relations: Liaise with clients over the phone and through written correspondence.
• Ad-Hoc Projects: Assist managers on special, project-based client assignments.
