Job summary

Allied Health/Nursing is recruiting a Staff Grade Speech and Language Therapist to join the Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) based in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath. The role focuses on paediatric speech and language therapy within a family-centred, multidisciplinary setting.

The successful candidate will work with families, schools and colleagues to support children’s communication, feeding and functional goals, delivering assessments, interventions and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Degree in Speech and Language Therapy required.
• CORU registration required.
• Relevant clinical or placement experience.
• Strong communication, organisational and clinical reasoning skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, diagnosis and intervention for paediatric speech, language and feeding difficulties.
• Manage a paediatric caseload within a community setting.
• Develop and implement individualised therapy programmes and care plans.
• Support communication development and functional communication needs.
• Collaborate with families, schools and multidisciplinary team members.
• Deliver education and support to families and carers.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reports.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and service development initiatives.
