Job summary

Paediatric Community Nursing seeks a nurse to care for a child with complex needs at home in Abbeyleix during the day. This is one-to-one nursing in a family home, with the same child on every shift.

The role offers four 8-hour day shifts per week with no nights. Full clinical training and induction are provided, along with ongoing support from the paediatric nursing team.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with paediatric care experience.
• Willingness to work alone in a family home.
• Full driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for one child with complex needs at home during day shifts.
• One-to-one nursing in a family home with the same child on every shift.
• Provide training in tracheostomy care, epilepsy and PEG feeding.
• No night shifts.

You do not need a paediatric qualification

Experience of caring for children is essential. A paediatric registration is not. If you are an RGN or RNID with solid paediatric experience, in hospital or in the community, we want to hear from you.

Requirements

• RGN, RCN or RNID


• Active NMBI registration


• Experience of paediatric care


• Comfortable working alone in a family home


• A full driving licence is preferred

What we offer

• €24.15 to €32.00 per hour
