Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a General Operator for a fixed-term position in our European Consumer Packaging operation. The role focuses on producing to production plans, maintaining quality standards and safe working practices.

You will work as part of a team, pack products to customer specifications, follow SOPs, and contribute to continuous improvement. We value flexibility, methodical work, and the ability to adapt to change.

Qualifications

• Flexible and prepared to work shifts.
• Sound process knowledge of a manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of the Pharmaceutical/Healthcare market desirable not essential.
• Familiar with quality standards and procedures.
• Methodical approach to undertaking tasks.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Adaptable to change.
• Willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Comply with current systems of working, including established shift patterns.
• Work as part of a team to achieve daily/weekly production targets.
• Achieve the highest possible quality standards, following established quality systems.
• Follow standard operating procedures to ensure product is finished and packed.
• Pack product as per customer specification.
• Comply with sampling process as per customer request.
• Participate to maximise production efficiency.
• Engage in continuous learning and development to update skills and contribute to improvements.
• Work flexibly across production departments as needed.
