The Dawson Hostel in Dublin 2 is seeking an Assistant Night Manager to lead the night front desk. You will oversee night operations, supervise the night reception team and ensure security and smooth guest services during the 23:00–07:00 shift.

Ideal candidates have prior hospitality supervisory experience and strong communication skills to manage overnight issues and coordinate with the day team.

Qualifikationen

• Previous experience in hotel, hostel or hospitality environment.
• Previous supervisory or senior reception experience.
• Ability to take responsibility and make independent decisions.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Calm and confident approach to difficult situations.
• Experience using hotel/hostel reservation systems and basic computer programs.

Aufgaben

• Oversee the hostel during the night and ensure the smooth running of the Front Office.
• Support and supervise the night reception team.
• Carry out regular checks of the property and communal areas.
• Ensure security, safety and quiet-hour procedures are followed.
• Handle guest requests, questions and complaints in a professional and friendly manner.
• Deal confidently with incidents or emergencies that may arise during the night.
• Complete all required reception procedures accurately.
• Monitor arrivals, departures and reservations and resolve any issues as required.
• Communicate important information and incidents clearly to the Front Office Manager and day team.
• Ensure reception and other guest-facing areas are clean, stocked, organised and ready for the morning team.
• Support the Front Office Manager with the day-to-day running of the department.
• Follow and enforce all hostel policies and procedures.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties required to support the operation.
