Job summary

TLI Group in Ireland is recruiting an Overhead Line Network Designer to join the expanding design team on infrastructure projects in Ireland and the U.K. This permanent role is in the Design Department and covers both public utilities and private developers.

The role is office and site based, with offices in Tralee, Cork or Dublin. Candidates may come from Grid Construction, Land Surveying, Project Management, Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering with relevant experience; travel in a

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential due to landowner and public interactions.
• Relevant engineering discipline with high-level education or equivalent industry experience will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of overhead line industry is a distinct advantage.
• Familiarity with ESB Networks design and construction standards is necessary.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• On-site stakeholder negotiations including land access
• Distribution overhead line grid design or detailed understanding of same
• GPS surveying & setting out
• Feasibility reports
• Progress reports
• Compilation of Health & Safety documentation
• Quality assurance checks on constructed works
• Implementation of ISO 9001, ISO14001 & OHSAS 18001 procedures as required.
