Location: Dublin, Ireland, fully onsite
Employment Type: Contract

About the Role

Are you looking for an opportunity to join a growing team in a fast-paced and challenging environment? This is an excellent opportunity to join an established financial services organisation and work within its Ireland Outsourcing Governance function.

As an Outsourcing Governance Consultant, you will partner with business teams and key stakeholders to strengthen the outsourcing governance framework across regulated Irish legal entities. You will play an important role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, monitoring governance obligations and proactively mitigating risk through effective controls and oversight.

The successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert on outsourcing governance, maintaining a strong understanding of Irish outsourcing regulations and the broader European regulatory landscape. The role will involve working closely with stakeholders across different business areas and lines of defence, as well as contributing to local, regional and global initiatives.

This position would suit a proactive, analytical and control-focused professional who enjoys managing complex stakeholder relationships, supporting regulatory initiatives and continuously improving governance frameworks and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute and deliver outsourcing governance priorities, projects and day-to-day activities.

  • Monitor regulatory developments, industry guidance and outsourcing obligations, assessing the impact of changing requirements in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

  • Maintain and enhance the Irish outsourcing governance framework in response to evolving business activities and regulatory expectations.

  • Prepare governance reports and materials for committees, forums and legal entity boards.

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders across the first, second and third lines of defence, ensuring clear communication and timely delivery of commitments.

  • Provide constructive challenge to stakeholders and coordinate the resolution of governance-related queries and issues.

  • Participate in local, regional, business-line and organisation-wide initiatives relating to outsourcing governance and regulatory compliance.

  • Support the effective management, control and monitoring of outsourcing arrangements and associated governance processes.

  • Collaborate with colleagues across the UK, European Economic Area (EEA) and other international locations to promote consistency, efficiency and alignment across governance frameworks.

  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the control environment and the proactive identification and mitigation of outsourcing-related risks.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex issues and communicate clear, practical recommendations.

  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of deliverables and identify solutions in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience supporting governance frameworks, regulatory initiatives or related projects, ideally within a financial services organisation.

  • Strong governance execution skills, including stakeholder alignment, documentation of decisions and actions, and effective follow-through across the lines of defence.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders, build effective working relationships and drive agreed outcomes.

  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

  • High levels of professionalism, integrity, accountability and self-motivation.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence individuals across different business areas and levels of seniority.

  • Experience preparing comprehensive reports and presenting information at meetings with multiple stakeholders.

  • Sound judgement and decision-making skills, including the ability to identify and escalate issues appropriately.

  • A proactive, collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a high-performing team.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

  • A results-oriented approach, with the ability to deliver high-quality work within agreed deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • Previous experience in outsourcing governance, third-party risk management, regulatory compliance or a related discipline.

  • Knowledge of Irish and European regulatory requirements relating to outsourcing and third-party management, including:

    • Central Bank of Ireland (Investment Firms) Regulations 2023.

    • Central Bank of Ireland Cross-Industry Guidance on Outsourcing 2021.

    • Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA).
