Job summary

Panda is hiring a General Operative to support safe collection, movement and handling of waste in outdoor conditions across Ireland. You will work with a close-knit team to deliver essential services, starting early and finishing early, with an emphasis on safety and reliability.

This hands-on role involves loading/unloading, equipment checks, housekeeping, and teamwork, with training provided. Own transport is required to access sites.

Qualifications

• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks.
• Previous manual labour experience required.
• Own transport is required.
• Good command of the English language.
• Reliable, trustworthy and dependable.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Safety-conscious and professional in approach.

Responsibilities

• Collect and return customers' bins along designated routes safely and efficiently.
• Work outdoors with early starts and early finishes.
• Load and unload vehicles safely.
• Move, stack and handle materials with correct storage and safety practices.
• Support warehouse and yard operations when required.
• Carry out general housekeeping to keep work areas clean and safe.
• Inspect equipment and report faults or wear and tear.
• Follow Health & Safety regulations and site rules.
• Represent Panda professionally when dealing with customers and the public.
• Work effectively in a team while also using your own initiative.
• Develop skills in loaders and material-handling equipment.
