Job summary

Panda Ireland is seeking reliable, hard-working individuals to join our operations team as General Operatives. This hands-on role focuses on safe collection, movement and handling of waste and recycling materials, outdoors on designated routes.

You will work early shifts in a fast-paced environment, maintaining safety and high standards while representing Panda to customers and the public. Full training provided.

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit and able to perform manual work.
• Previous manual labour experience is required.
• Own transport is required.
• Good command of English.
• Reliable, trustworthy and dependable.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Able to work without constant supervision.
• Safety-conscious and safety-first in approach.

Responsibilities

• Collect and return customers’ bins along designated routes safely and efficiently.
• Work outdoors with early starts and early finishes.
• Load and unload vehicles safely.
• Move, stack and handle materials in line with correct storage and safety practices.
• Support warehouse and yard operations where required.
• Carry out general housekeeping duties to keep work areas clean, safe and organised.
• Inspect equipment and report any faults, damage or wear and tear.
• Follow all Health & Safety regulations, site rules and company procedures.
• Represent Panda professionally when dealing with customers and members of the public.
• Work effectively as part of a busy team, while also being able to use your own initiative.
• Develop your skills in the use of loaders and material-handling equipment where required.
• Complete any other reasonable duties assigned by your manager.

At Panda, Ireland’s largest waste management business, we’re looking for reliable, hard-working people to join our operations team.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll support the safe and efficient collection, movement and handling of waste and recycling materials. You’ll be working outdoors, as part of a close-knit team, helping to deliver an essential service to our customers and communities.
