Job summary

Panda is seeking a General Operative to join our outdoor operations team in Ireland. You’ll support safe collection, movement and handling of waste, working in a fast-paced, hands-on role on site with an emphasis on safety and reliability.

The role requires physical fitness, previous manual labour experience, own transport and a good command of English. You will work as part of a close-knit team with opportunities to develop skills in loaders and material-handling equipment.

• Previous manual labour experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Collect and return customers’ bins along designated routes safely and efficiently.
• Work outdoors with early starts and early finishes.
• Load and unload vehicles safely.
• Move, stack and handle materials in line with correct storage and safety practices.
• Support warehouse and yard operations where required.
• Carry out general housekeeping duties to keep work areas clean, safe and organised.
• Inspect equipment and report any faults, damage or wear and tear.
• Follow all Health & Safety regulations, site rules and company procedures.
• Represent Panda professionally when dealing with customers and members of the public.
• Work effectively as part of a busy team, while also being able to use your own initiative.
• Develop your skills in the use of loaders and material-handling equipment where required.
• Complete any other reasonable duties assigned by your manager.
