Job summary

GPC - Global Professional Consultants in Cork is seeking an experienced OSM Engineer to join a leading mechanical contractor. You will support the delivery of mechanical modules, oversee fabrication, procurement, site coordination, quality and progress, ensuring projects are delivered safely and on schedule.

The role requires 5+ years in mechanical engineering, strong on-site construction experience, and a degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Strong on-site construction experience.
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical systems, P&IDs and piping isometrics.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain strong health & safety and quality standards
• Prepare detailed work packs to support efficient, snag-free module execution
• Monitor fabrication and procurement progress, expediting where required
• Provide technical support to Supervisors and resolve on-site engineering queries
• Coordinate subcontractors and client-appointed contractors across mechanical works
• Monitor installation quality, specifications and compliance through regular module walkdowns
• Represent the company during client module release and shipping walkdowns
• Prepare weekly progress reports and attend project meetings
