Our client is a growing Irish-owned mechanical contractor delivering HVAC, plumbing and building services across commercial projects, working with a number of leading brands in the sector. They are looking for a Mechanical Site Supervisor to oversee the delivery of mechanical systems on site, making sure works are carried out safely and to a high standard, with strong progression on offer as the business grows.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day site activities of contractors across safety, quality, schedule, cost and documentation
- Take responsibility for the health and safety of everyone on site, actively promoting compliance with the Construction Health and Safety plan
- Review contractors method statements, safe plans of action and permit applications, making sure risks are assessed and the right controls are in place
- Carry out daily inspections to ensure the required standards are met
- Track contractors technical RFIs, submittals and purchases, referring to the Contracts Manager for input, resolution and approvals
- Keep the document controller updated so status reports stay accurate
- Advise the Contracts Manager on field variations, scope changes or potential additional costs
- Stay fully familiar with the contract scope, technical documentation, pricing and construction programme
- Participate in weekly safety and coordination meetings
Requirements
- At least 5 years experience managing large-scale construction projects and multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience promoting and maintaining high standards of health and safety on large-scale projects
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical and stakeholder management skills
- Full clean Irish driving licence
- Safe Pass and Manual Handling
- Additional qualifications in Engineering or Construction/Project Management desirable but not essential
