Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment in Ireland seeks an Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations across field service, installation and stainless steel fabrication, reporting to the Managing Director.

You will lead technical service, installation and fabrication teams, manage scheduling, budgeting and KPI tracking, and drive cost control and profitability while coaching staff and developing leadership.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in technical service management, field operations or a similar leadership position.
• Experience managing technical teams, including scheduling, resource allocation, performance management and service delivery.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage customers, contractors and internal teams.
• A practical understanding of operational performance, service quality and cost control, with an interest in developing further financial and P&L responsibility.
• A proactive leadership approach and the ambition to grow into a broader senior management position.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage technical service, installation and fabrication teams, ensuring high standards of performance, productivity and customer service.
• Oversee daily scheduling, job allocation, resource planning and coordination of field engineers, technicians and contractors.
• Establish and monitor operational KPIs, ensuring projects and service activities are delivered efficiently and to the required quality standards.
• Support and develop team members through coaching, mentoring and effective performance management.
• Work closely with the Managing Director on operational planning, budgeting, cost control, departmental margins and profitability.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, service delivery and overall business performance.
