Job summary

Moog Inc. in Carrigaline, Ireland, is seeking a Production Operator to support PCB assembly and related manufacturing tasks on a fixed-term contract.

You will operate assembly equipment, prepare components, perform quality checks, and use ERP system for work orders, reporting to the SMT Line Team Lead.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of relevant experience, knowledge of IPC7711/IPC7721, and a diligent, safe approach.

Qualifications

  • IPC7711/IPC7721 specifications and IPC J-Standard application knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Operate assembly equipment to complete specified tasks.
  • Prepare components for manual assembly.
  • Operate PCB cleaning and baking equipment.
  • Use torque tools for assembly of specific fasteners.
  • Perform manual assembly of PCBs and some mechanical hardware to documented procedures.
  • Handle printed circuit cards and electronic components.
  • Apply adhesives and conformal coatings.
  • Prototype assembly under engineering control.
  • Set up equipment and carry out process measurements.
  • Perform operator machine maintenance as required.
  • Inspect and rework PCBs and components as per criteria.
  • Maintain safety gear and housekeeping.
  • Transact work orders in the ERP system.

Summary Of Function And Specific Responsibilities

The role reports to the PCB Production Supervisor, will support normal production activities as required.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Operate assembly equipment required to complete specified tasks.
  • Prepare components for manual assembly
  • Operate PCB cleaning and baking equipment
  • Use Torque tools for assembly of specific fasteners
  • Perform manual assembly of PCB’s and some mechanical hardware to formal assembly procedures, process procedures, assembly drawings and SOP’s
  • Typical components handled will be printed circuit cards and electronic components.
  • Application of adhesives and conformal coatings.
  • Prototype assembly work under engineering control.
  • Set up equipment and carry out process related measurements as required.
  • Perform operator machine maintenance as specified.
  • Inspect and rework PCB’s and components as per established criteria.
  • Typical other items used will be specified safety equipment worn during maintenance.
  • Completion of all necessary production related documentation.
  • Use our ERP system to transact Work orders.
  • Adherence to all necessary requirements relating to personal tool maintenance, anti-static precaution, safety and housekeeping.
  • Specific equipment training will be provided.
Preferable Qualifications & Skills
  • Knowledge of IPC7711/IPC7721 and IPC J-Standard and there application
  • Production Operator – 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Work Environment

The role may involve standing or sitting for extended periods of time, fine dexterity tasks, manual handling activities, working with VDU/DSE, repetitive movements, working with controlled chemicals.

Ideal Candidate
  • Proven track record of commitment to both quality and production goals
  • Positive, flexible approach with good interpersonal skills
  • A minimum of 2 to 3 years relevant experience/knowledge of assembly functions would be preferable.
