Operations Team Lead/ Fillpack Coordinator

We are currently recruiting for a Operations Team Lead/ Fillpack Coordinator (Representative II, Production Operations) to join a leading manufacturing organisation based in Co. Clare.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in manufacturing, laboratory or regulated environments who is looking to develop their leadership experience while playing a key role in the safe, compliant and efficient operation of a Fillpack manufacturing area.

The position combines team coordination, production planning, quality oversight and continuous improvement, with responsibility for supporting day-to-day manufacturing activities and ensuring production targets, quality standards and customer requirements are met.

Working closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Validation and Technical Operations, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their expertise within a highly regulated environment and make a visible impact on operational performance.

Shift Pattern

This is a straight night shift position and includes a shift allowance.

Monday to Friday: 12:00am – 8:00am
Friday night: 10:00pm – 5:00am Saturday

The position reports to the Production Operations Manager and is a fully on-site role based in Co. Clare.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Fillpack team, promoting a strong culture of safety, engagement and accountability.


• Coordinate daily production activities to meet customer demand, inventory requirements and production schedules.


• Ensure manufacturing activities are completed in accordance with GMP requirements, quality standards and established procedures.


• Review and maintain Batch History Records and associated production documentation.


• Support continuous improvement, waste reduction and operational excellence initiatives.


• Coach and develop team members through training, feedback and ongoing support.


• Work closely with Quality, Validation, Technical Operations and other stakeholders to resolve deviations, complaints and operational issues.


• Support investigations, audits and quality improvement activities.


• Monitor operational performance and help resolve routine production and equipment issues.

Experience & Qualifications

The successful candidate should have:

• Level 7 qualification with 2+ years' supervisory or leadership experience, or a Level 8 qualification with 1+ years' relevant experience.


• Previous experience within a manufacturing, laboratory or regulated environment.


• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, engage and support team members.


• Proven ability to manage competing priorities, solve problems and deliver results in a fast-paced operational environment.


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.


• A good understanding of GMP, quality systems and compliance requirements.


• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety, quality and compliance.

Experience supporting audits, investigations, deviations or quality improvement activities would be beneficial.

Experience with Oracle or another ERP system would also be advantageous.

It would be beneficial to have previous experience in:

• GMP-regulated manufacturing environments.


• Continuous improvement initiatives, Kaizen events or structured problem-solving activities.


• Cross-functional projects involving Quality, Validation, Technical Operations or Supply Chain.


• Production planning, inventory management or work order systems.

This is an active, hands-on position involving time across manufacturing, laboratory and office environments.

The role includes working within cleanroom and controlled manufacturing areas, where adherence to PPE, contamination control, safety and quality procedures is essential.
