Solar Path is seeking a highly organised Operations Manager to bridge the gap between sales and installation from Cork. The role is hybrid, combining home-based planning with office coordination.

You will oversee the solar installation pipeline, ensuring smooth progression from sale to completion. The ideal candidate has proven experience in scheduling, logistics, and project coordination, preferably in solar or construction, with proficiency in spreadsheets and solar design tools.

Qualifications

• Location based in or near Cork (hybrid flexibility).
• Full-time employment.
• Proven experience in operational scheduling, logistics, or project coordination (solar or construction preferred).
• Comfort with spreadsheets, scheduling, stock management systems, and quick to learn new software.
• Familiarity with solar design software (e.g., Aurora, PV*SOL, OpenSolar) or related tools.
• Hold a full clean driving licence; willing to visit sites for eyes-on assessments.

Responsibilities

• Design & Technical Review: create solar roof designs and final installation specs.
• Customer & Team Liaison: confirm installation details with customers and sales; serve as main contact during delivery.
• Scheduling & Allocation: plan installations weeks ahead and assign crew to projects.
• Daily Problem-solving: troubleshoot live issues and adjust schedules as needed.
• Inventory & Procurement: monitor stock, place orders, and forecast upcoming needs.
• Process & Improvement: implement systems and records to scale operations.
• Trouble shooting: manage initial service requests and technical queries.
• Health & Safety: act as Health and Safety Officer for the company.

About Us

We are a fast-paced solar installation company, four years old, with a tight-knit team of 20. In that time we've grown from a standing start to hundreds of installations a year across Munster, and we've done it by being straight with customers and doing the job properly.

As we continue to scale, we are looking for a highly organised, proactive Operations Manager to bridge the gap between sales and installation. This role is a hybrid position split between working from home and our Cork office.

Core Mission

You will assist management and the sales team with the day-to-day running of our solar installation pipeline, ensuring projects move smoothly from initial sale to successful completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Technical Review Create solar panel roof designs, review sales and site survey information to finalise precise installation specifications.
• Customer & Team Liaison Contact customers and collaborate with the sales team to confirm final installation details, acting as the customer's point of contact through the delivery phase.
• Scheduling & Allocation Schedule all upcoming installations weeks in advance and assign the correct team members to each project.
• Daily Problem-solving Troubleshoot and solve real-time problems that arise for team members during active installations, rescheduling dates as needed.
• Inventory & Procurement Review current stock levels, place orders, and look ahead at upcoming pipelines to preorder specific project requirements.
• Process & Improvement As the business grows, you will help put proper systems and records behind all company actions.
• Trouble shooting Manage initial service call requests and technical queries from customers.
• Health & Safety Act as Health and Safety Officer for the company.

Role Requirements

• Location: Based in or near Cork (hybrid office/remote flexibility).
• Employment type: Full-time.
• Experience: Proven experience in operational scheduling, logistics, or project coordination. Solar or construction industry experience is a major plus.
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets, scheduling, tools and stock management systems, and quick to pick up new software.
• Confident learning solar design software (or existing experience with tools such as Aurora, PV*SOL, OpenSolar or similar).
• Full clean driving licence and willingness to visit sites when a design or a problem needs eyes on it.

• Self-motivated and disciplined, particularly on the days you are working from home.
