Job summary

Hollybank Trustees Ltd seeks an on-site Civil/Mechanical/Environmental Engineer to join a hospital project in the Limerick region. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver assigned works while upholding HSE standards.

Responsibilities include risk assessments, liaising with suppliers, coordinating subcontractors, and contributing to commissioning and handover activities. The role requires a Level 7 Honours Engineering degree with strong communication and problem-solving skills,

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree required (Level 7 Honours) in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Chemical or Environmental Engineering.
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities with a proactive problem-solving approach.
• Full driving licence is essential.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is expected.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team on multiple projects, contributing to on-site delivery.
• Ensure Health, Safety, Environmental & Sustainability standards are followed on-site.
• Prepare method statements and risk assessments prior to activities.
• Engage with suppliers and subcontractors for procurement and supply proposals.
• Coordinate materials and manage on-site deliveries against the works programme.
• Supervise subcontractors and direct staff to meet project timelines.
• Monitor on-site progress and ensure conformance with designs and Employer’s requirements.
• Assist with commissioning activities and on-site testing as required.
