Job summary

Peamount Healthcare in Newcastle, Co. Dublin, is seeking a Mechanical Services Technician for a full-time, onsite role within the Facilities Department.

The post involves managing mechanical building services, supporting maintenance planning, fault response, and contractor coordination to ensure safe and efficient operations. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the successful candidate will work across heating, ventilation, air conditioning, MGPS, BMS, and related systems, with a salary range

Qualifications

• The candidate should have experience with mechanical building services operation and maintenance.
• Ability to plan, prioritise and manage maintenance activities.
• Strong understanding of technical drawings and engineering fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for safe, reliable operation and maintenance of mechanical services across Peamount Healthcare campus.
• Assist with planned preventive and reactive maintenance, fault finding and repairs, and liaising with contractors.
• Support asset management, records accuracy, and MGPS/BMS-related activities.
• Participate in on-call rota and respond to mechanical emergencies within competence.
