Job summary

Peamount Healthcare is seeking a Mechanical Services Technician to join the Facilities Department. The role focuses on safe, reliable operation and maintenance of mechanical building services across the Peamount campus, including HVAC, boilers, pumps, and MGPS.

You will support planned and reactive maintenance, asset management, and service verification. The post requires working a 35-hour week, onsite at Newcastle, Co.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Capable of fault finding and problem solving in mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Demonstrates strong planning, prioritisation and time management.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for safe, reliable operation of building services.
• Maintain and manage mechanical assets across the Peamount Healthcare campus.
• Coordinate maintenance, fault response, repairs, and commissioning activities.
• Support water safety, legionella controls, BMS monitoring and MGPS operations.
