Job summary

Peamount Healthcare is seeking a Medical/Clinical Equipment Support Technician to join the Facilities Department on a full-time, onsite basis at Newcastle, Co. Dublin.

The role focuses on safe, reliable management of medical and clinical equipment and the Medical Gas Pipeline System (MGPS). The post holder will oversee lifecycle management, coordinate maintenance with clinicians and contractors, and ensure compliance with relevant standards.

Qualifications

• Technical knowledge related to medical and clinical equipment.
• Strong organisational skills to manage assets and records.
• Proficient in technical skills relevant to equipment maintenance.
• Excellent communication with clinical teams and vendors.
• Commitment to patient safety and quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for medical and clinical equipment across the campus.
• Manage lifecycle including procurement, commissioning, asset management, PPM, reactive maintenance.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with stakeholders and maintain records.
• Act as liaison between Facilities and clinical users; escalate certification requirements.
• Participate in out-of-hours/on-call rota.
