Job summary

Qualifications

• Registered general nurse with current PIN (NMBI).
• Experience in oncology care preferred.
• Commitment to patient-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standard of nursing care.
• Develop clinical expertise in oncology.
• Prepare patients and families for discharge.
• Coordinate administration of SACT in liaison with Oncology NCHD and follow protocols.
• Provide specialist oncology education to staff.
• Act as mentor/preceptor for new staff.
• Report patient care information to nursing/medical staff in writing and verbally.
• Liaise with Consultants and GP/Public Health Nurse for discharge planning.
• Support infection prevention and risk management measures.
