Job summary

BD is seeking an experienced Software Program Lead to join our Limerick team and lead a major new project initiative. This is a unique opportunity to shape strategy, establish plans, and drive delivery for a business-critical project.

This is not a people management role. You will be the programme leader responsible for planning, scheduling, budgeting, stakeholder management, and successful project execution across global teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience of programme or project management.
• Experience of leading complex software or technology projects.
• Strong planning, scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in Medical Devices, HealthTech, MedTech, FinTech, Automation, or another highly regulated industry.
• Software development lifecycle (SDLC) knowledge.
• Experience working within multinational organisations and global teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead a large-scale, cross-functional software programme from initiation through execution.
• Develop project plans, schedules, landmarks, budgets, and governance processes.
• Partner closely with senior stakeholders and core teams in the US.
• Drive programme delivery, risk management, and decision-making.
• Provide regular status updates and programme insights to leadership.
• Coordinate across Software Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, Operations, and Commercial teams.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
