Job summary

FRS Farm Relief Services is seeking a Part-Time Hoofcare Technician to provide professional hoof trimming and preventive hoofcare for dairy and beef cattle across County Tipperary.

As a self-employed contractor, you will work independently, travel to client farms within the county, and maintain high standards of animal welfare and customer service while managing bookings and equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience in cattle hoof trimming and hoof health management.
• Full clean driving licence and own transport.
• Ability to work independently and manage appointments.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine hoof trimming using safe techniques.
• Assess hoof health and identify conditions such as lameness and ulcers.
• Apply hoof treatments and blocks as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate records of work and treatments.
• Advise farmers on hoof health management and preventative care.
• Maintain equipment and follow health and safety procedures.
• Represent the business professionally to clients.
