FRS Farm Relief Services is seeking a reliable Hoofcare Operative to join our field team. The role focuses on providing high-quality hoofcare services to dairy and beef herds, helping farmers maintain mobility and herd health.

You will perform routine hoof trimming, identify lameness signs, and handle cattle safely on farms, while maintaining equipment and professional relationships with customers.

Qualifications

• Must provide reliable and motivated hoofcare services.
• Experience with routine hoof trimming and hoofcare is beneficial.
• Able to work with dairy and beef herds and maintain animal welfare.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine hoof trimming and hoofcare.
• Identifying signs of lameness and hoof-related problems.
• Handling cattle safely and calmly.
• Maintaining hoofcare equipment and ensuring it is clean and in good working order.
• Working efficiently while maintaining high standards of animal welfare.
• Building professional relationships with farmers and customers.
• Travelling to farms as required.
