Job summary

Dalata Hotel Group in Ireland is seeking a night shift receptionist to ensure smooth nightly operations and deliver the highest level of guest service. You will greet guests, manage night audit tasks, and oversee night porter supervision.

This role requires previous nights or front desk experience, at least two years in customer-facing roles, and solid computer skills, with Opera knowledge regarded as an advantage. You will work as part of a team in a supportive, career‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Previous nights or hotel reception experience required.
• At least 2 years in customer-facing roles.
• Proficient computer skills; knowledge of Opera is advantageous.
• Strong organisational abilities and delegation.
• Friendly, approachable and team-focused.
• Ability to work on own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for smooth and efficient operation of the hotel at night and to ensure the highest level of customer service.
• Guest relations.
• Responsible for overall health & safety at night, including fire walks, security checks, and any other relevant health & safety duties, e.g. first aid.
• Performed front Office duties, including running the night audit report and checking and check-out guests.
• Supervising the night porter.
• Food & Beverage service at night.
• Ensuring meeting rooms are set to the correct standard.
• Contribute to the efficient running of the hotel.

Your Job

What You Will Need

• Previous Nights or hotel reception experience is essential.
• At least 2 years of experience working in a customer/guest-facing position.
• Good computer skills and knowledge of Opera would be an advantage.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to oversee & delegate work to others.
• A warm, friendly and approachable personality when dealing with fellow staff and guests.
• The ability to work on their initiative, as well as being capable of working as part of a team
