Job summary

Farnham Estate Spa & Golf Resort in Ireland is seeking a reliable Night Porter to join the Front Office Team for overnight shifts. Previous hotel experience is essential, with good English skills and a valid driving licence.

The role involves guest assistance, safety patrols, and maintaining high standards across hotel facilities. Shifts run from 10:30pm to 07:00am on weekends and midweek; no full-time students.

Qualifications

• Experience in a 4/5 star hotel or equivalent.
• Good English written and spoken.
• Full, clean driving licence.
• Customer care and IT skills desirable.
• Able to multitask in a busy environment.
• Weekend work; night shifts 22:30–07:00; not for full-time students.

Responsibilities

• Front office duties including night audit when required.
• Meet and greet guests professionally with attention to detail.
• Drive guests to and from the car park.
• Patrol corridors, ensure safety, manage breakfast cards and room service notes.
• Maintain cleanliness of the hotel and all areas.
• Prepare and deliver room service and guest requests.
• Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.

We are currently seeking a reliable Night Porter to join our Front Office Team.

Essential Criteria:

• Have previous experience in a 4/5 star Hotel or relevant experience

• Good command of English, both written and verbal

• Must have a full, clean driving license

• Have exceptional customer care skills & IT skills desirable

• Be able to multitask and work in a busy environment

• Must be able to work weekends as well as midweek - not suitable for full time students, shifts typically from 10:30pm until 07:00am

About the role

Role/Responsibilities:

• Front office duties including, covering night audit duties when required

• Dealing with all aspects of customer contact, i.e. meet and greet, guestsin a professional and courteous manner, ensuring accuracy & attention to detail at all times

• Driving guests to and from the car park

• When all guests have retired, patrol all corridors and see that they are safe and secure, close all fire doors and collect breakfast cards and bring them to reception. Copy breakfast cards once, copy for the kitchen and the original for room service

• Maintain the cleanliness of the Hotel and cleans all areas of the Hotel including restaurants, bars, function rooms, reception areas

• Preparation and delivery of room service and guest requests.

• To be able to work in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure

• To comply with health and safety procedures at all times, uphold hygiene standards and follow health & safety policies and procedures
