Job summary

Grangegorman House Student Accommodation in Dublin is recruiting a Night Porter to safeguard residents and premises during the night shift. Reporting to the Property Manager, you will deliver a high level of service and maintain security throughout the night.

The role involves security walks, adherence to Health & Safety procedures, a courteous attitude to residents, cleaning and general duties, and cover of reception including check in/out. Handovers must be complete at end of shift.

Qualifications

• 1 year night porter experience preferred.
• Work authorization for Ireland required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure highest level of customer service throughout the night.
• Complete regular security walks and report as required.
• Adhere to Health & Safety and Security procedures at all times.
• Establish a courteous and helpful attitude toward residents.
• Carry out cleaning duties and other general tasks as needed.
• Cover reception when required (check in / check out).

Grangegorman House Student Accommodation is currently recruiting a Night Porter

Our student accommodation is occupied by residents attending nearby colleges and universities between months of September & May. During Summer months our property welcomes guests visiting Dublin for leisure. We strive to create a vibrant atmosphere and adhere to high standards of customer service all year round.

Main responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the Property Manager the Night Porter will be responsible for the overall safety of the premises and all residents throughout the night shift.

You will have specific responsibilities:

• To ensure that the highest level of customer service is given throughout the night
• To complete regular security walks and follow the appropriate reporting procedures for this
• To be proactive in ensuring that all Health & Safety and Security procedures are adhered to at all times therefor providing a safe and secure environment for all residents
• To establish a courteous and helpful attitude towards all residents.
• To carry out various cleaning duties and other general duties as and when required
• To cover reception as required - must be able to check in and check out.
• To ensure a complete & clear handover is done at the end of your shift ensuring all check sheets are fully completed.

You will be required to be a highly motivated person, possessing strong leadership and communication skills

Working Hours:

40 hours per week spread over 5 days.

Pay: €16.20 per hour
