Key duties include cleaning production areas, using cleaning chemicals and equipment, and maintaining hygiene records. Night shift work, teamwork and adherence to procedures are required.

The Role:

We are recruiting a Night Cleaner based in Navan, Co. Meath. The successful candidate will report to the Hygiene Manager and Operations Manager.

Job Description:

The Night Hygiene Team Member is responsible for carrying out cleaning and sanitation activities throughout the production facility to ensure the site is maintained to the highest hygiene, food safety, and quality standards. Working as part of the Night Hygiene Team, the successful candidate will help ensure that all production areas, equipment, and facilities are thoroughly cleaned, sanitised, and ready for the next day's operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning and sanitation of production areas, machinery, equipment, floors, walls, drains, and welfare facilities in accordance with site cleaning schedules.
• Use cleaning chemicals, foaming equipment, pressure washers, and other cleaning tools in accordance with company procedures and training.
• Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to the required food safety and hygiene standards.
• Follow all hygiene procedures, cleaning protocols, and site standards at all times
• Conduct visual inspections of equipment and production areas following cleaning activities.
• Report any hygiene concerns, equipment defects, maintenance issues, or safety hazards to the Hygiene Manager.
• Ensure cleaning chemicals are handled, stored, and used safely and in accordance with training provided.
• Complete all hygiene documentation and cleaning records accurately and on time.
• Support hygiene audits, inspections, and verification activities.
• Assist with corrective actions arising from hygiene inspections and audits.
• Work closely with Production, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Health & Safety teams to maintain site standards.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the facility.
• Provide cover for colleagues during annual leave and absences when required.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties as assigned by management.

Food Safety, Quality & Health and Safety Responsibilities

• Comply fully with all Food Safety, HACCP, GMP, Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental procedures.
• Wear and maintain all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Follow Safe Systems of Work when handling chemicals, cleaning equipment, and machinery.
• Report accidents, incidents, near misses, unsafe conditions, and food safety concerns immediately.
• Participate in training sessions and safety briefings as required.
• Contribute to maintaining audit-ready standards across the site at all times.
