Irish Country Meats seeks a Hygiene Manager to lead night hygiene operations at Navan, reporting to the Operations Manager. You will work with QA, Maintenance and H&S to uphold top hygiene standards across the site, including training and supervising staff, inspections, audits, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.

You will manage cleaning materials, control costs, maintain records, and coordinate with department managers while covering holidays as needed.

Competenze

• Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
• Experience in a hygiene management or supervisory role or quality assurance within the food industry.
• Cleaning experience within the food industry is preferable.
• Previous experience in managing a team.
• Ideally experience managing workforce planning and working to budgets.
• Computer literate and able to maintain accurate records.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

The Role:

We are recruiting a Hygiene Manager based in Navan, Co. Meath. The successful candidate will report to the Operations Manager and directly interface with Operations, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Health & Safety Managers.

Job Description:

The Hygiene Manager will manage all aspects of hygiene including night hygiene, ensuring all aspects of the night hygiene service are carried out and maintained to the required high standard. The Hygiene Manager will work closely with Operations, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Health & Safety teams to maintain a safe and hygienic environment. This role will require flexibility to working shifts to compliment the production requirements. The Hygiene Manager will report directly to the Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Management of all night hygiene facilities at ICM Navan.
• Ensure that the complete site is always maintained to the highest standards, complying with food safety standards and regulations
• Responsible for safe use of chemicals and cleaning materials, with an emphasis on training, storage, and usage
• Management and development of site hygiene team
• Train and supervise night staff on hygiene standards and cleaning protocols and practices
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and processes
• Ensure that all equipment is fit for purpose in advance of all shifts
• Investigate hygiene-related incidents and implement corrective actions to drive improvements in site hygiene standards, in partnership with QA and H&S teams
• Procure, monitor and control costs of cleaning materials and equipment on site
• Proactive in in identifying cleaning requirements, reporting maintenance issues and dealing with all other requirements of the site's senior management
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, audits, and compliance reports
• Liaise with department managers and supervisors on a daily basis
• Adhere to all relevant regulations and safety protocols
• Lead by example, upholding the company's values in all areas of work
• Cover Holidays / absences in your team.

Requirements

• Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal
