Job summary

Stripe is seeking a Security Engineer New Grad in Dublin to work across security disciplines, applying software engineering principles to protect Stripe’s platform. You will learn secure-by-default design by partnering with product and infrastructure teams.

You will develop expertise in threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and defensive security, while collaborating with engineers to strengthen Stripe’s security posture and tooling.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Computer Science or related field, graduating by Summer 2026.
• Some experience with programming in Java, Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Scala, or Go.
• Experience from internships or collaborating on multi-person coding projects.
• Ability to learn unfamiliar systems through independent research and mentorship.
• Aptitude to think like an attacker and reason through security risk.

Responsibilities

• Develop a foundation across security domains such as threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, or offensive security.
• Act as a security subject matter expert, tailoring explanations for engineers and non-engineers.
• Contribute to internal tools and automation to scale security efforts.
• Participate in threat modeling discussions balancing security with product goals and user experience.
