Job summary

Stripe is seeking a Security Engineer New Grad in Ireland to work across security disciplines and own projects from start to finish. You will apply software engineering principles to security challenges and help secure Stripe’s complex environment.

You will learn threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and offensive security while collaborating with engineers and mentors across the security org.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science or related field (graduating by Summer 2026).
• Experience with programming in Java, Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Scala, or Go through projects or coursework.
• Ability to learn unfamiliar systems and reason about security risk with an attacker mindset.

Responsibilities

• Work on cross-functional projects, directly collaborating with other engineers.
• Give meaningful feedback on code reviews and technical designs.
• Contribute to Stripe’s security posture by improving processes, tooling and defenses.
• Develop a deep understanding of Stripe’s security primitives, frameworks, and invariants.
• Provide actionable insights to identify, prevent, detect, and respond to anomalous or potentially malicious activity.
