Job summary

The Citco Group Limited is seeking a Network Engineer to design and optimize Citco's global network across five datacenters. You will work with AWS, Azure, and GCP to modernize infrastructure and support Citco’s assets in a large, distributed environment.

You will join a collaborative Network team and contribute to resilience, security, and performance while staying aligned with business priorities and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocols (TCP, UDP, FTP, GRE, IPsec, etc.)
• OSPF multi-area experience
• BGP v4 (iBGP/eBGP) experience
• Cisco routers and switching hardware (Meraki/Catalyst/Nexus)
• Velocloud SD-WAN and VPN technologies (IPsec)
• Firewalling and security policy management (Palo Alto/Panorama)
• LAN switching: STP, VLANs, 802.1Q, LACP, vPC/VSS
• QOS, load balancing, WAN optimization, and health probes
• F5 Big-IP or equivalent load balancers; MetroE/MPLS WAN circuits
• Network redundancy implementation and resilience

Responsibilities

Network Engineer

Join a global leader in financial services administration and help architect the infrastructure powering $3 trillion in assets under administration. In this role, you'll drive innovation across Citco's network infrastructure while collaborating with a talented team of 15,000+ professionals across 50+ office locations worldwide.

You’ll be joining a dynamic and collaborative Network team of 15 talented professionals — comprising an 11-strong Network Support team, led by your direct manager, working closely alongside a dedicated team of 4 Network Engineers managed separately. Together, both teams form a close-knit, high-performing unit that drives Citco's global network operations.

Technical Requirements

• Must haves: Strong knowledge and experience in the following areas and technologies:
  • TCP/IP protocols (TCP, UDP, FTP, GRE, IPsec, etc.)
  • OSPF multi-area.
  • BGP v4 (iBGP and eBGP).
  • Cisco routers, branch office to datacenter grade
  • Meraki and Catalyst switches
  • Cisco Nexus switches
  • Vmware Velocloud SDWAN.
  • IPsec site-to-site VPNs, and remote access VPNs using Ivanti and Palo Alto Global Protect.
  • Firewalling, access lists, protocol inspection.
  • Palo Alto firewalls and their administration using Panorama.
  • LAN switching, Spanning Tree protocol, VLANs, dot1Q trunking, LACP port-channels, vPC, VSS.
  • QOS on the LAN and WAN.
  • Load balancing traffic across server farms, load balancing algorithms, health probes.
  • F5 load balancers (F5 Big IP) or other load-balancer platforms.
  • Wide area network circuits and services (MetroE, MPLS, etc.)
  • Clear understanding and proven experience on implementing network hardware redundancy.
• Desired Technical Skills:
  • Solarwinds experience
  • Dynamic routing interaction with ISPs using BGP.
  • Clear understanding of how network monitoring using ICMP and SNMP.
  • Operational experience with TACACS+/Radius authentication systems (Cisco ISE).
  • Experience with Netflow analysis and using Netflow collectors.
  • Basic user level knowledge of Linux operating systems.
  • Basic knowledge of cloud computing and cloud networking

Education, Qualifications & Experience

• College or university degree (preferably) in an Information Technology field.
• Knowledge of the company and Network Operations experience in the financial sector
