Job summary

Amazon Development Centre Ireland Limited in Dublin is seeking a Network Development Engineer to join the Network Fabric Engineering team. You will build, deploy and scale the networks that support AWS services across global datacenters, working with routing protocols and Unix systems.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in major internet routing and Linux/Unix environments, plus automation scripting with Bash, Shell, Perl or Python.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of major internet routing protocols experience.
• 4+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment.
• Experience in automation via Bash/shell scripting and Perl/Python programming.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement changes on the network.
• Work closely with automation teams to scale tooling.
• Lead network projects in sustaining engineering, deployment, scaling and optimization.
• Provide critical network support during large-scale events.
• Troubleshoot routing, interconnectivity, platforms and configuration issues.
• Collaborate with wider Network/Infra teams on standards and tooling.
