Job summary

Matchtech is seeking an experienced NEC Supervisor to support a high-profile rail infrastructure programme in Southern Ireland. The role requires NEC4 knowledge and supervising construction works within a live operational railway environment.

Working with contractors, designers, project managers and stakeholders, you will ensure that works are delivered safely and to the required quality standards and in accordance with contract requirements and project objectives.

Qualifications

  • Qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
  • NEC4 Supervisor accreditation or demonstrable NEC Supervisor experience.
  • Significant rail/civils or major infrastructure construction experience.
  • Strong NEC ECC contract knowledge and contract administration.
  • Experience supervising civils in live operational environments (rail preferred).
  • Knowledge of QA, inspections, and testing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake the duties of NEC Supervisor in accordance with NEC4 ECC.
  • Monitor rail civils works for compliance with works information, specs, drawings, and contract.
  • Identify and notify defects per NEC procedures.
  • Maintain inspection, surveillance and QA records.
  • Review contractor QA documents, ITPs and submissions.
  • Attend site inspections, progress and quality review meetings.
  • Liaise with Client, PM, Contractor and stakeholders on quality and technical issues.
  • Support project governance, reporting and corrective actions.
  • Ensure safety in live railway environments and adherence to safety standards.
  • Prepare clear, timely reports on construction quality and remedial actions.
