Job summary

Amazon AWS Networking seeks Network Development Engineers to automate deployment of network infrastructure across global data centers and transit centers. You will drive scaling of designs, create repeatable deployment processes, and partner with internal customers to bring designs from concept to production.

Ideal candidates have BGP/OSPF experience, strong scripting skills, and a proven record building automated solutions in fast-paced, collaborative environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience as a network engineer with deployments for large-scale networks in a corporate environment and hands-on experience in physical infrastructure installations including hardware integration, racking, and cabling.
• Experience in major internet routing protocols, specifically BGP and OSPF.
• Experience with programming/scripting (Batch, VB, PowerShell, Java, C#, Chef, Perl, Ruby and/or PHP), or experience in managing and troublshooting network and experience with automation and any version control tools.
• Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, or experience in managing and troublshooting network and experience with network troubleshooting tools (telnet, test-netconnection, tracert, tracetcp, iperf, ntttcp, dig, and packet capture tools)

Responsibilities

• Automate deployment of network infrastructure across all network fabrics supporting multiple AWS services.
• Deploy, scale and automate our network across global data centers and Transit centers.
• Drive scaling of current network designs to meet customer demand.
• Create simple, repetitive deployment processes that increase velocity and quality.
• Work with internal customers on designs/solutions and take them to production.
