Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Network Development Engineer to design, build, and operate the world’s largest cloud network. You’ll develop automation, scale systems to meet demand, and reduce manual work while maintaining high reliability and security.

You’ll collaborate with senior engineers, own complex network solutions at scale, and contribute to innovative projects across AWS infrastructure with a strong emphasis on ownership and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Master's degree, or a Bachelor's degree with experience in a large-scale networking environment.
• Knowledge of one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ruby, Perl).
• Knowledge of IP networking fundamentals such as BGP, OSPF and related R&S technologies.
• Experience developing engineering, deployment, or operations mechanisms to support IP networking systems.
• This role requires you to be a national of an EU member state.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, implement, scale, operate, and sustain next-generation networks.
• Develop automation and mechanisms to reduce manual operations.
• Plan, deliver, and simplify new systems and tools to better deliver for customers.
• Analyse network with tools and metrics to ensure safe and secure operation.
• Troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analyses.
• Collaborate with teams to deliver scalable network solutions at Amazon scale.
