Job summary

Sterling Engineering Ltd - Ireland & Europe in Sligo is seeking an experienced Moulding Engineer to join our manufacturing operation on a 12-month contract. The role focuses on injection moulding processes, tooling and equipment support in a highly regulated environment.

You will optimise moulding processes, troubleshoot issues, lead root-cause investigations, support trials and NPI, and work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance and Tooling teams to deliver quality, compliant output.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Polymer, Plastics Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in injection moulding within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of moulding processes, tooling and process optimisation.
  • Experience with validation and qualification activities is highly desirable.
  • Experience within a pharmaceutical, medical device or other regulated environment would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for injection moulding processes, tooling and equipment.
  • Optimise moulding processes to improve quality, yield, cycle times and overall efficiency.

  • Support mould trials, process validation, qualification and equipment start-up activities.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) and engineering improvement projects.

  • Develop and maintain process documentation, specifications and technical reports.
  • Support deviations, CAPAs and change controls where required.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure all activities comply with GMP, quality, health & safety and environmental requirements.

Moulding Engineer – 12-Month Contract
Location: Sligo

We are seeking an experienced Moulding Engineer to join a leading manufacturing operation in Sligo on a 12-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong injection moulding experience to work within a highly regulated and technically advanced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for injection moulding processes, tooling and equipment.
