Job summary

ACE AUTOBODY LIMITED is seeking Motor Mechanics for positions across our nationwide branches in Ireland. Role involves diagnosing faults and repairing vehicles to roadworthy standards, with duties spanning suspension, steering, braking, cooling, and drivetrain systems.

You'll work across our network of 16 branches, with full-time permanent employment, typically 40.75 hours per week, and annual remuneration in the €40,000–€60,000 range depending on skills and experience.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Motor Mechanics, Automotive Technology, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as Vehicle Technician or similar role.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Experience with modern diagnostic equipment.
• Good understanding of mechanical, electrical and electronic vehicle systems.

Responsibilities

• Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults and ensure repairs are roadworthy.
• Inspect and repair vehicle systems including suspension, steering, braking, cooling, and drivetrain components.
• Assist with strip, fit and reassembly as part of the repair process.
• Carry out final checks and road tests to ensure quality and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment and comply with health and safety procedures.

Job Description

Position Titles: Motor Mechanics (Multiple Locations)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Annual Remuneration: €40,000–€60,000, depending on skills and experience

Working Hours: 40.75 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults and ensure vehicles are repaired to a safe and roadworthy standard.
• Inspect and repair vehicle systems, including suspension, steering, braking, cooling, and drivetrain components.
• Assist with strip, fit, and reassembly work where required as part of the repair process.
• Carry out final checks and road tests to ensure repairs meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment and comply with all health and safety procedures.

Skills & Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Motor Mechanics, Automotive Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Vehicle Technician, Motor Mechanic, or similar role.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Experience working with modern vehicle diagnostic equipment.
• Good understanding of vehicle mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
