Job summary

Assured Personnel Limited, based in Swords, Co. Dublin, are seeking skilled Car Mechanics to work for MB Motors in Swords, Co. Dublin.

You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, perform maintenance, and carry out vehicle repairs to manufacturer standards while maintaining safety and quality in a busy workshop.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a mechanic.
• Experience as a car mechanic or vehicle technician.
• Experience in a garage with a fleet of vehicles.
• Knowledge of vehicle electronics and diagnostics.
• Strong mechanical, electrical and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles using diagnostic tools and test drives.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake servicing, tyre repairs, alignments and fluid checks.
• Carry out repairs on engines, transmissions, steering systems, suspension, exhaust systems and other mechanical components.
• Inspect vehicles for faults and provide accurate repair recommendations.
• Complete service and repair records in line with company procedures.
• Ensure work meets manufacturer standards and safety/compliance requirements.
• Communicate with service advisors and customers about repairs and timelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop area.

Assured Personnel Limited, based in Swords, Co. Dublin, are currently seeking Car Mechanics to work for its client, MB Motors based in Swords, Co. Dublin, K67 TE83. Duties & Responsibilities:

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles using diagnostic tools and test drives.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake servicing, tyre repairs, alignments, and fluid checks.
• Carry out repairs on engines, transmissions, steering systems, suspension, exhaust systems, and other mechanical components.
• Inspect vehicles for faults, wear, and potential issues, providing accurate repair recommendations.
• Complete service and repair records accurately and in line with company procedures.
• Ensure all work is carried out to manufacturer standards and meets safety and compliance requirements.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding necessary repairs and timelines.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop area.
• Keep up to date with new vehicle technologies, diagnostic methods, and repair procedures.

Requirements & Experience:

• Candidate must be competent to carry out all duties listed above
• Minimum 3 years of previous experience working as a mechanic
• Mechanic/motor technician qualification is an advantage but is not required
• Proven experience working as a car mechanic or vehicle technician.
• Experience working in a garage and with fleet of vehicles
• Knowledge of vehicle electronics and diagnostics
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to use modern diagnostic equipment and workshop tools.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Annual Remuneration: €36,605.00; Pay rate €18.05 per hour
